Localscope ($2.99 -> Free, 4.1 MB): Find interesting places around you using Google, Bing Foursquare, Twitter, and Wikimapia. You can switch between all of the services via a slider at the bottom of the screen, so you won't have to retype your query. The app also features three different views, directions, different measuring units, and MobileNavigator integration.

Squashem Ball ($.99 -> Free, 17.9 MB): Roll a ball around a 3D environment and squash all 10 runners in each level before time expires. The game features six levels, realistic physics, two difficulty levels, 10 different balls, and online leaderboards.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
