Pocket God: Journey To Uranus Receives Its First Update
February 10, 2011
The very moment Bolt Creative released a spinoff of Pocket God for iPad, fans began to express their displeasure regarding the fact that many of their favorite God-like interactive capabilities from the original iPhone version didn't make it into the game. Not one to disappoint, Bolt Creative has released the first-ever update to Pocket God: Journey To Uranus and it takes the first step in addressing some of fans' concerns.
Episode 2: Electric Booga Loo is mostly about restoring some of the original functionality found in the iPhone version, but also adds a couple of brand new items.
First off, you can finally personalize your Pygmies by naming them via a new menu, the same menu that now allows you to check stats. You can also change between day and night by dragging on the sun and moon, and you can do so on both planets currently available in the game. When the sun goes down on Uranus, a fire breathing dragon flies by, and you can tap and drag fire from his mouth towards the Pygmies below.
On Earth, you can now strike your Pygmies with lightning by first sliding the puffy white clouds out of view and then dragging your finger from the sky to your followers below. When you do the same motion on Uranus, however, a green poisonous gas cloud is generated and you can send puffs of it towards your Pygmies to turn them into goop. Secret Easter eggs can be found on both planets as well.
This is just the first of many free updates to Pocket God: Journey To Uranus ($4.99). The team at Bolt Creative plans on adding a new planet via the next update, along with more God powers and more games, so stay tuned.
