QuickAdvice: Always Find Something New For Your iPhone and iPad With Appsfire
Appsfire for iPhone: Discover the Best Free & Paid Apps (Free) by appsfire is an app to help you find what's hot on the App Store and discover more apps that you would probably not have known about.
There's tons of new stuff on the App Store every day, and probably even more that you may not have even heard about! For me, I'm always on the search for new apps out there to try out (and eventually tell you about them), so it's nice to see more ways to find new stuff to download on my iPhone. Appsfire for iPhone not only provides me with plenty of new stuff to find and discover, but also does it in a unique and fresh way.
The main part of Appsfire is the Streams. There will be different categories for apps, including Free Now, Top Paid/Free iPhone and iPad Apps Today, and Popular on Twitter/Facebook, Latest Clicked, and even surprise Appmixes. Under each category will be a stream of app icons, which will constantly be moving left to right after a timed interval to make room for more apps.
If you find an app icon that interests you, tap it to find out more. You'll get the name, category, release date, a measure of how "hot" the app is currently, the price (links to iTunes) and a Review button (links to iTunes). If the app is going through a sale right now, Appsfire will inform you of the current price and what the price was previously.
Appsfire will also pull the description from the App Store to display in the app and includes a slick interface for viewing screenshots. Apps can be shared by email, Facebook, Twitter, SMS, or even QR code. Love an app? Star it! It will show up in the My Apps section with the star for easy reference.
If you choose to install an app and go back into Appsfire, the app will ask you if you installed it, so then it can be added to the My Apps section. In My Apps, Appsfire will ask you if you own some apps, which you can mark off with the green check to add it to your collection.
You can view your collection of apps as a list, or as an icon grid, which is pretty neat. If you are proud of the apps you have, you can share the entire list with your friends by the same methods mentioned earlier.

The Discover section of Appsfire may be one of the most useful, as you can browse what apps are being used by VIPS or just go through the variety of Smart Categories, including the awesome "Now Free (hurry up!)" list, which can be full of treasures. There is also a "Genius" like category, which shows you recommendations based on your taste. Rankings and AppMixes are thrown into the mix as well, and Favorites & History can be found at the bottom.
Appsfire lets you search for any app you want in the App Store, and will give you to best matches as you type. You can filter between Paid and Free, or just have All displayed. The About section features some tips and ways to share and leave feedback on the app. If you are interested in the Appsfire team and what apps they use, you can do so from this About section too.
I found the app to be pretty neat to use, and a good way to find out about new apps. I do have a bit of an annoyance with the way the Streams section though - as you move up and down, the "Streams" banner at the top will appear and then disappear after a moment. This causes jerky scrolling that I found to be a bit irksome.
Other than that little problem, I found the app to be fun to use and a good way to find new apps to download. If you love finding new stuff for your iPhone and iPad, then give Appsfire a try. The iPad specific version of the app is called "appstream for iPad."
