Artify ($0.99) by Kodama Studios, LLC is an app to turn your photos into paintings.
If you have ever wanted to see what your photo would look like as a painting, you can find out now with Artify.
On the initial launch of Artify, you'll get a little tutorial that will show you the basics. You can take a new photo from within the app or import one from your Photo Library.
When you get the image you want, just hit the Artify button to turn it into an artsy painting. You can erase brushstrokes to reveal the original detail of the photo, or paint more brushstrokes if you desire. The selective adding of detail can really help to make a photo pop.
There are Advanced Settings in Artify that can add a bit more punch to your art. Currently, the only Art Style is Impressionism, but the developers seem to have more art styles coming in the future. You can define how intense the brush effect is as well as the size, color intensity and even a tint to the picture. You can reset the settings or clear the image at any time if you are not pleased with the results.
The Advanced Settings is where you would go to if you want to add any additional color or tint to your photo or control how much more brushstrokes should be applied to your picture.
When you're done turning your photo into art, it's time to share it. Artify allows you to share through email, Twitter, Facebook, or just save it to your library.
Artify is a nice way to turn your photos into something unique and different than just applying various camera filters to them.
The app is only $1 and universal, so if you want a nice change to apply to your photos, then check out Artify. If you aren't interested in turning your photos into paintings and want more, then I'd look elsewhere.
