HealthTracker for iPad ($4.99) by XLabz Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is a health tracking app for the iPad. The user inputs information and the application organizes and graphs it. There are three different categories the app tracks: body mass index, blood pressure, and blood sugar. The app does not offer any way of providing the user with that information, it counts on them gathering it and inputting it. Once all the information is entered, the main dashboard will display the user's most recently entered data.
When the user selects a category the recorded information is presented in a list, each line gives all the information that was entered. In addition there is a graph on the bottom half of the screen, charting progress. The graph makes it very easy to see which way the user's general health is going. Whether they are gaining a few pounds or not consuming enough sugar. The graph has a few viewing options based on time frame, and it's color coordinated for the different data.
The app does not have many settings to play with; you can change the units between metric and standard. The user can also adjust the glucose date from “dg/dl to “mmol/dl.” Besides displaying and graphing the inputted data, the user can also email reports. If your doctor is on your case about sugar levels, this might be a trendy way of sending him daily results.
Overall the app lacks features for its price, however it does offer great functionality and a smooth user interface. If you need to keep track of things like your BMI or sugar levels, this would be a great app to keep on hand. Otherwise it is just a dressed up note taker.
