The app supports Bluetooth barcode readers, or you can just type the barcode in. It also allows you to lend music to friends, so you can easily keep track of who has your newest album.
The app is basically iBooks for music. The default background is the same wooden one used by Apple. Your music can be viewed in a shelf view or a list view, it can be organized by all the standard options such as artist, genre, song title etc. To find music you can search for it directly, or browse through everything you have.
