Robokill Update Adds A Survival Mode And Game Center Support
February 1, 2011
Wandake Game Studios has updated their bot-blasting dual-stick shooter, Robokill, with a brand new survival mode, while also taking the opportunity to implement Game Center achievements and leaderboards.
Robokill's new survival mode pits you against wave after wave of killer bots. Each room has a limited number of bots that you must destroy before moving onto the next, and as you progress, the number and strength of your enemies increases. To fend off the bots for as long as possible, you can pick up additional items that you can equip your mech with in between each round. You can also increase your score multiplier by not taking any damage, which is obviously easier said than done. Basically, the longer you survive, the higher your score.
Robokill now sports Game Center integration, featuring both achievements and leaderboards. It includes 34 achievements, totaling a nice and even 1,000 points. It also includes two separate leaderboards: one for survival mode and one for the main campaign.
The iPad version of Robokill received a little something extra this time around, as it now allows you to customize the layout of the controls. Just go to the settings menu and tap on "Select Joystick Locations" to slide either or both joysticks around the screen.
The latest version of Robokill for iPhone is now available in the App Store for $.99, while the iPad version is available for $1.99. Check out our in-depth review to learn a little more about this definitive dual-stick shooter.
