New App Makes Doing Your Taxes In Bed Or Anywhere Else A Reality [Updated]

Getting your U.S. tax refund is now easier thanks to the new TurboTax 2010 app for the iPad. Created by Intuit, Inc., the free app lets you complete your taxes directly on your tablet for the first time. Tax season is never fun, but it has become easier in recent years thanks to TurboTax, the top selling personal tax preparation software on the market. Now the simplicity we’ve come to expect from the desktop, or online application, is available for on the iPad too. Whether it is sitting in front of the television, or with your feet propped up in a recliner, being able to do your taxes on the iPad almost makes the process fun. Not only does the app give you the ability to do your taxes on the go, you don’t need to be online the entire time when doing so. An Internet connection is only necessary to download TurboTax product updates and to e-file your completed return.

Since your file is actually saved on your iDevice, your information is safe and secure. You can also lock the file using a password. When completed, your refund could be available as quickly as in eight days. TurboTax for iPad supports TurboTax Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business. TurboTax for iPad starts your return in TurboTax Deluxe. You can also choose to upgrade. TurboTax 2010 Desktop users can import/export files between TurboTax 2010 for iPad. You cannot do the same with TurboTax 2009 files or older.
Users can export from TurboTax Online, and import into TurboTax for iPad if it's the tax 2010 format.
