Best Buy Employees To Get An iPad 2
March 7, 2011
Best Buy is apparently ramping up a major iPad 2 program, by giving each employee a tablet for use, according to Forbes. This comes as part of the company’s “Connected World” plan:
A source with knowledge of corporate mobile device deployments tells Forbes that one of the country’s top 10 largest retailers expects to distribute iPads to each of its on-floor sales associates. This retailer, the source adds, operates 1,100 stores across the U.S. As the country’s largest electronics retailer — as well as a retailer that currently operates around 1,100 stores in the U.S. — Best Buy is a natural match. On top of selling Best Buy thousands of iPads, Apple will this way be able to get their best selling product in the hands of employees that sell them. Experience makes a better seller. This move would certainly make a lot of sense. I spoke with a few Best Buy employees regarding the matter, but none of them had heard of this program, but would certainly love to get an iPad 2. Are you a Best Buy employee? How much would you love to carry around an iPad 2? Have you heard more details? Share your thoughts below.
