FaceTime For Mac Application Gets An Update

March 23, 2011
The FaceTime application for Mac has recently been updated. Version 1.0.2 is now available in the Mac App Store. The modest update improves performance when Facetime is taken full screen. Originally released by Apple in October as a public beta, FaceTime for Mac was officially released in the Mac App Store last month for $.99. It is also comes pre-installed on all new Macs purchased. As we explained in February, users of FaceTime for Mac can make a video call to an iPhone 4, an iPod touch (4G), or another Mac. Setup is quick and easy, simply enter your Apple ID, and you’re ready to make a call. The application uses existing Address Book contacts, which is nice. In addition, FaceTime for Mac owners will be alerted of an incoming call, even if the application isn’t running. The FaceTime application for Mac can be downloaded in the Mac App Store.
