Want To Improve Your Golf Swing? Tiger Woods: My Swing Is Here To Help
March 23, 2011
The Tiger Woods Foundation together with iOS app developer Shotzoom, the team behind the marvelous Golfshot and Golfscape, have released a brand new app designed exclusively for iPhone and iPod touch that is meant to help golfers of all skill levels improve their swing through video analysis and instruction from the one and only Tiger Woods.
“Everything about this app is based on how I practice. I’ve rebuilt my swing a number of times over the years and use this technology to gauge my development and help with my swing transitions,” Woods said. “I’m excited that through this app I can take this technology on the road with me and that golfers around the world can now do the same to improve their game.”Tiger Woods: My Swing provides you with the ability to capture your swing on video and analyze it against Tiger's own swing, a friend's swing, or you can share it with the massive Golfshot community to receive tips from your peers. When analyzing your swing, you can view an overlay, or "Tiger Lines," which demonstrate the proper technique. You are also able to draw custom lines in order to track your progress over time. The app is equipped with a time delay recording option, so you won't always have to rely on someone else to get your swing on video. It also allows you to add voice and text notes that can be saved with your video for later reference. All of your saved videos can be uploaded and stored on your very own free Golfshot.com account, allowing you to view your swings from anywhere at anytime. You can keep track of all of your peer provided feedback from your personal online account as well. But it's not just Tiger's swing that's included in the app, he also appears in videos detailing how to analyze your swing and provides tips on specific areas of improvement. You will also be able to view exclusive video updates from Tiger addressing fan questions. Tiger Woods: My Swing is now available in the App Store for $9.99. Proceeds from the app benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation, which provides unique experiences and innovative educational opportunities for youth worldwide.
