First Round Of International iPad Orders Sold Out

March 25, 2011
Good news for Apple, and bad news for you, if you haven't ordered an iPad 2 and aren't standing in line. Apple started accepting online orders for the iPad 2 in many countries this morning at 1 a.m. with a shipping delay of  two to three weeks. The first round of iPads have already sold out, and new orders are showing a three to four week delay. Ever since launch, iPad 2 stocks have been very constrained. US buyers have been facing lines, and long online delays that were as long as month, before finally improving yesterday. It's a big surprise that Apple didn't delay the launch of the iPad 2 in 25 new countries (happening as we speak). Yet, despite what looks like a major effort, the first stock of iPad 2's to be shipped by Apple internationally have now sold out. If you're buying online now, you'll be waiting three to four weeks for shipment, putting the arrival of your device at the end of April. Desperate? Well, the lines are already quite long. Yet, if you have the patience and courage it takes, you might still snag an iPad 2 if you rush to the closest Apple store now. According to our folks in the field, Apple is currently saying they will be able to provide devices to people in the current lines. So, you might still have a chance. Ordered online? Waiting in line? Tell us about it in the comments!
