:Shift!2: ($.99 -> Free, 14.7 MB): Like the original game, you have to "shift" the environment to reach the end of each of the 120 levels. This latest version, however, features a new rotational block that makes the levels even more complicated. The game features 30 bonus levels to be unlocked with achievements, Retina graphics, and Game Center integration.

shibuya ($1.99 -> Free, 18.5 MB): Blocks stream in from the top of the screen and you must tap them to fill them in with colors. The next color in line is previewed on the left side of the screen, and tapping on a block will make it that color. When two or more colored blocks are matched, they are removed from the play area. The game features two modes, five speeds, and Game Center integration.
shibuya is available for free today only (03/10). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 10 ratings.
iSoccer Backstreet ($1.99 -> Free, 54.8 MB): This isn't your everyday team-based soccer game. Instead, you are asked to perform tricks like body balancing and dribbling using different parts of your body while following rhythm patterns. The game also tests your shooting and memorization skills. It features nine levels, more than a dozen freestyle tricks, six avatars, and touch and tilt controls.
iSoccer Backstreet is available for free for a limited time. It has a 3.5-star rating with a total of 188 ratings.
Big Fish (Fishing) ($1.99 -> Free, 19.7 MB): Go fishing in eight unique locations to try and catch 13 types of fish. The game features touch and tilt controls, multiple characters to choose from, online multiplayer, and Game Center integration.

Squawk! ($.99 -> Free, 1.9 MB): Currently a subscription-free service, Squawk! allows you to find, track, and chat with friends in real-time. The app runs in the background, so you can choose to broadcast your movements to a unique URL that friends and family can follow.
Squawk! is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 4 ratings.
Mimidoo ($.99 -> Free, 2 MB): Allows you to capture photos of your baby, jot down a note, and then share them via Facebook and Twitter if you so desire. Registering for a free account within the app also provides you with a unique web page where you can share and manage your photos.

Universal:
Space Frak HD ($.99 -> Free, 16.9 MB): Defend your planet from the alien invasion by tapping the screen to fire your blaster. You can also tap and hold to charge the blaster and unleash a devastating shot. The game features dozens of enemies and bosses, power-ups, and Game Center integration.

iPad:
TowerMadness™ HD ($7.99 -> Free, 18.7 MB): A top-notch tower defense game that requires you to defend your beloved sheep from the evil aliens. It features true 3D graphics, 17 enemies, 46 maps, 9 upgradeable weapons, an endless mode, replays, same-device multiplayer, and Game Center integration.
TowerMadness™ HD is available for free until Saturday, March 12th. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 15 ratings.

If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
- It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
- The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
- The free version of your app must not include ads.
