MLB.com At Bat 11 For iPad Gets A Facelift For Opening Day

March 31, 2011
Just in time for Opening Day, Major League Baseball has issued an update to the iPad version of MLB.com At Bat 11, which provides a much more graphically rich Gameday experience along with a couple of other enhancements. You would be hard pressed not to notice all of the new graphical and UI changes immediately upon launching the latest version of MLB.com At Bat 11 for iPad. Batters are now rendered in 3D and sport their team's official home or road uniforms, and all of the ballparks are meticulously modeled after their real life counterparts. This is all thanks to graphic assets that Major League Baseball borrowed from Sony's MLB 11 The Show video game. MLB.com At Bat 11's new UI is much cleaner and simpler while still providing oodles of data. The scoreboard has been cleaned up and now features access to in-game highlights. A new navigation bar graces the bottom of the screen that gives you access to everything from the game's match-ups to an in-depth play-by-play feed, all of which are collapsible. Pitches now have a much more detailed breakdown courtesy of MLB's in-stadium pitch-tracking data collection systems. To top it all off, Major League Baseball is also offering all MLB.com At Bat 11 owners free access to live games for the entire month of April. All you have to do is tap on the little TV icon in the top right corner of the screen and choose any of the available games. You will then be asked to create a free MLB.com account. Once signed up, you will be able to watch live out of market games from your iDevice for the month of April. The latest version of MLB.com At Bat 11 for iPad is now available in the App Store for $14.99.
