SpiderBall ($0.99) by keith curtis is a new arcade game for the iPhone. The object of the game is moving a ball through numerous levels. At first glance this sounds silly and childish, though the game can prove to be quite challenging. The objective is simple; collect all of the available stars in each level.

The controls are easy to use and consist of two buttons, left and right. Tapping anywhere on the side of the screen will send the ball in that direction. Holding your finger on the screen longer will increase the speed of the ball. Though the controls sound simple enough, it can actually be very difficult to control the ball once it gains momentum.

With four worlds and 40 levels to conquer, you’re sure to enjoy this game. Though the gameplay does not change much, the levels do offer a variety of challenge. The scenery of the worlds change while the individual levels maintain the same background. Though this doesn't sound very exciting, with this genre of gameplay you probably won’t notice.

Overall, SpiderBall is an interesting new arcade title with simple controls and high replay value. With numerous levels and multiple character unlocks, you’re sure to get a kick out of this one.
