New TweetDeck iOS App To Resemble Popular Android Version

March 7, 2011
In less than a month, TweetDeck fans will be treated to an entirely new iOS app that will resemble the company's extremely popular Android version, providing its users with much more flexibility within a streamlined interface. The new TweetDeck for iOS app was built from scratch to give you more control over your Twitter and Facebook feeds. This time around, you will be able to fully customize the app's columns instead of having to choose from predefined columns.
"You want to create a column blending your Mentions and some Twitter Lists? No problem! Always wanted to see your Facebook feed and Twitter DMs in a single column? We’ve got you covered," said TweetDeck community manager Richard Barley in a recent blog post.
TweetDeck for iOS will be a universal app, doing away with the two separate iPhone and iPad versions currently found in the App Store. It will also be sporting a brand new silky smooth user interface, complete with Retina graphics. The new version of TweetDeck for iOS should be hitting the App Store in the next couple of weeks, but if you want to get your hands on it early, head out to Austin, Texas for this year's SXSW and look for TweetDeck's Iain and Steve, who will also be handing out all kinds of exclusive TweetDeck gear during the festivities.
