iStreet Basket ($0.99) by G.P. Imports, Inc. is a simple yet entertaining game that allows players to shoot hoops from anywhere on a basketball court. Basketballs are placed at random around the court and it is your job to shoot them in the allotted time. Just like Angry Birds, Tiny Wings, and Doodle Jump, iStreet Basket is a very addicting game. Once you pick it up, you won’t be able to put it down.
The game gives you 90 seconds to shoot as many baskets as you can. Each successful basket earns you two to three points (depending on the location of the shot). You must find the highlighted balls amongst the duds and rapid-fire shoot them to earn maximum points. To shoot, simply tap and drag your finger across the screen in the direction you want to shoot. When preparing to shoot, a line will appear showing the power and direction of the shot. At the end of the time period, scores are compared to others on the iDevice. The app provides statistics for each game, including the number of shots, score, and accuracy.
Although iStreet Basket has simple controls, it is not easy. The physics are very realistic, only the perfect shot will go in. The majority of balls will fly off the backboard or end up being air balls. This may be frustrating when you first begin, but you should get the hang of it within the last 30 seconds (convenient huh?). Unfortunately there is no GameCenter or OpenFeint integration so users can't compare their scores worldwide.
iStreet Basket is by far the most fun I’ve had with a basketball app. With impressive game physics, detailed graphics, and a high replay value, iStreet Basket is a great game for all iDevice users.
