Amaze The Little Ones In Your Life With Animal Phone
April 26, 2011
Animal Phone (Free) by Long Weekend LLC is sure to charm the little ones in your life. Even if they are shy of talking on the phone, the cute characters in this app are sure to coax them out of their shell.
I like to have my own children test apps that are made for kids. This way I get their true reaction and have an accurate opinion of whether the app is captivating for real children. I am pleased to say that my three-year-old could not have been more thrilled with Animal Phone.
Animal Phone has a FaceTime feel. Kids can dial animals or pick them from the phone book. The animal answers almost immediately with something like, "Hello." After that, the animal will repeat everything your child says, but in a different pitch and add their own phrases. The animals also respond to touch and petting.
My daughter fell in love with "monkey" and loved the fact that he not only talked to her, but also repeated everything she said in a lower pitch. To her, he was real. She tried showing him her toys and even took him with her when she was doing something naughty and told him to be very quiet while she was going where she shouldn't be. I could not help but laugh because she is normally a bit shy during FaceTime with family, but she was as bold as could be when talking with Graham Gorilla.
The app is free to download and Graham Gorilla comes free. If your child enjoys Graham, you have the option to purchase more animals within the app. The developers were very clever to add a very handy lock that prevents young children from making purchases themselves. Other characters include a kangaroo and a zebra.
This app is free to try and could really come in handy during those long waits at the doctor's office or during a shopping trip. I would love to hear what you children think of it in the comments below.
