Angry Birds Rio Is A Dud... Not!

The Rovio guys have yet another reason to celebrate this week with their incredible franchise making history once again.
The Finnish app maker's latest co-production with Fox, Angry Birds Rio, is another stunning hit. As they tweeted last night, and was confirmed by Mobile Entertainment, their new app has already sold a staggering 10 million copies in its first 10 days of existence. That includes both free and paid versions of the game.
In case you don't realize, this is an incredible number, even for the App Store. We've covered a lot of success stories and a sustained selling rate of one million per day is not something we hear very often.
Seeing how well their app has done on the App Store, dominating every single category from paid to free iPhone apps, as well as both paid and free iPad apps, this isn't much of a shocker. Yet, it seems like Angry Birds still has quite some buzz and money-generating potential which once again confirms it as the Pac-Man of our generation.
