App Promo Makes Deal Finding Easy
Apps Promo (Free) by Appgeneration Software is a universal deal-finding app. It allows users to find current promotions in the App Store and download apps while on sale. The app also tracks other app’s price changes.
There are two mains tabs that help users find these deals, the Promo and the Prices tabs. The Promo tab shows apps daily free apps. There are only a few apps on this page. The Prices tab shows the change in app prices. There are two options, increase and decrease. Choosing the decrease option will show apps that are cheaper than before. Many of these apps are now free. Choosing the increase option will show apps whose prices have risen. I don’t know why this feature is included; because deal shoppers don’t want to see what they could have purchased an app for.
Apps in the Prices tab can be narrowed by genre. Clicking on an app in any tab will take users to an about screen which contains detailed app information. From this screen users can add the app to their list or click a link to the app in iTunes.
The My List tab is for users to create a list of their favorite apps. This list can be shared with friends through email, SMS and Facebook. The intended purpose for this tab is not very useful, but I have found that using it as a way to store wanted apps is quite handy.
The final tab is called Hits. Here users can view currently successful apps. It basically says the name of a good app and then “is a success.” This is a total waste of space in my opinion.
Most iDevice users won’t object to getting a normally paid app for free. Apps Promo is the app that finds these deals. Although there are some needless features included, overall it is a great tool for those who are looking to save money on apps.
