CamCard (Business Card Reader) Goes On Sale, Gets A Big Update

If you get a lot of business cards and just hate carrying them around in your wallet, you have probably thought about getting a business card scanner. Well, none of them work perfectly, but CamCard is one of the best options. To celebrate their newest update, this app, normally $6.99, is on sale for just $1.99 for a limited time. This is the English (plus 11 other Western Languages) version; there is also a more expensive version which adds Asian languages. CamCard also has a free version (which, with three scans allowed per week, may be plenty for light users) so you can try out the technology before committing your money to the full version. Other updates brought email signature recognition, meaning you can copy/paste someone’s email signature, and the app will glean all the contact information to create a contact. Also, you have the ability to reach out to your contact right in your card holder via phone, SMS, email, and LinkedIn. You can even map their location. The newest update has brought batch scanning. This is great for when you come home from a meet-and-greet with a handful of business cards. Simply scan them all in at once. Another great new feature is QR code integration. The app can recognize QR code business cards. The update also backs up your card holder and allows you to export cards to an Excel file.
