Keep The Cubes Alive In Float:)
Float:) ($0.99) by Wickedy Splits is yet another tilt-to-control game to hit the app store. Challenge your fine motor skills and see how many levels you can conquer in this game of colorful cubes.
Float:) starts out simple. Keep the cute cube floating through the sky and through a series of obstacles and get him to the other end of the screen without bumping into perilous objects. Once you get him safely to his destination, you have completed the level. Keep going and eventually face the big boss.
The game is challenging, but the tilt controls are not overly sensitive. This is nice for those who tend to over-correct themselves.
The graphics are nice, but not overwhelmingly amazing. The theme is mostly cubes, so it has a bit of a pixelated feel on purpose.
Float:) lets you pick and choose the levels and chapters you want to dive in to without making you beat all the previous ones. This is a nice feature for those of us who do not have endless patience (like me).
The big boss at the end is a nice touch. This gives the player the ultimate difficulty to face and beat at the end of the game and a nice sense of closure once you have beaten the game.
One major issue I had was the inability to quickly restart a level. Once you fail, you must go back to the main menu and select the level you want to play. This took a lot of time and quickly frustrated me.
Float:) is fun and this first version is a great start. I hope to see great updates in the future that will add to it's good foundation.
