Get The Deals Now, As Groupon HD Arrives For iPad

Groupon, the popular deal-of-the-day site, has finally released an iPad app. The free Groupon HD app is now available in the App Store.
Like the iPhone/iPod touch app, Groupon HD offers local deals, such as discounted spa treatments, lower priced meals, and reduced tickets for local events. In total, Groupon offers services in 170 U.S. locations, with more added monthly.
In taking advantage of the iPad’s larger screen, Groupon HD offers users many more deals than their iPhone counterparts.
For example, in Columbus, OH users receive deals in their hometown, plus those in Dayton, Cincinnati, and Akron/Canton.
Conversely, on the iPhone app, the deals are exclusively those in Columbus.
Each listing includes the Buy price, discount, and the time left to buy. Also show are the address, website, and mapped location of the business making the offer.
Debuting in November 2008, Chicago, Illinois-based Groupon is one of the fastest growing sites on the web. Last December, Google offered to purchase Groupon for $5.3 billion, but the offer was promptly rejected.
