I Dream Of Green Genie, Giveaway!

As soon as you open Green Genie, you will be amazed at all of the resources right at your fingertips. It is like attending a Living Green Expo, all in one iPhone application. Open the resources tab and you will find all the different plastics listed and how each can be recycled. There is suggested reading and a listing of green certified products. This is just the beginning of the information available under the resources tab.

Another tab brings you to project ideas, such as adjusting your thermostat or how to drive more efficiently. There is a coin icon next to each project that will give you an idea of how much money you will save. Included in Green Genie is a glossary, which is handy in case you come across something you do not understand.

But I have to call it out; there was a suggestion in this app to “Resist the call of the gadget.” I found that ironic for just about any iPhone user out there. Many of us cannot resist the temptation of any new Apple device. Oh well, I guess we cannot be perfect all the time. However, it is true that many of our discarded electronics are piling up pretty fast in our world.

I really love this app, and it is worth every penny. I am not fanatic about living a green lifestyle, but I do try to make a difference. I believe there are things we can all do to save a little money and help save our planet at the same time.
