Mission Europa is one of those niche games many of you may not have heard of. However, for an iOS title it's gained quite a following by iOS gamers as of late. Gamers who enjoy old-school first person shooters and hardcore customization of weapons and armor should find it a blast to play.
The game can be described as Diablo, System Shock 2 and Quake having a baby and calling it Mission Europa. The game has elements of all three of these older PC titles and plays like a 90s-era shooter. The ridiculous animations, and in-your-face icons popping up, are part or the cheesy fun -- but don't let that fool you because this game is deep. There are dozens of hours to dig through in order to complete the main missions -- and much more content in terms of finding weapons or armor than most (maybe all) games on the App Store.
If you don't mind retro graphics or want to go back to 90s-era FPS gaming with lots of content and customization, then give this game a try. Not only will you have many guns to choose from in order to shoot enemies with, but you can fight melee style using various swords as well. There are even large bosses to take out in this adventure that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.
Mission Europa Free Edition is available to download as of this writing. The other editions include a standard version that costs $3.99 and comes wth in-app purchases; and the collector's edition available for $9.99 that comes with exclusive extras and all the game's content unlocked.
