Gameloft's answer to the insanely popular PC and Mac MMORPG World of Warcraft (WOW) has just hit the App Store in the form of Order & Chaos Online. Like WOW, this is a full 3D game that has social elements and a lot of player-interactivity involved. You need to be connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi (word is that 3G isn't supported) in order to play Order & Chaos because it is designed for online play. In order to succeed in Order & Chaos, you will need to trade, interact, form teams with other players, and possibly duel as well. The game lets you choose similar factions to WOW, with the four selectable races being orcs, humans, elves, and the undead. Some of the game's other features include the ability to play with hundreds of other players simultaneously, exploring huge territories; finding unique items, weapons and armor; and upgrading your character through combat. Here is the subscription-based pricing model that was outlined for the Australian release taken from the app description:
** FREE 3-MONTH SUBSCRIPTION GRANTED at your first log in! Then you can renew your allegiance for only $0.99/month, $1.99 for 3 months or $2.99 for 6 months! ** ** IMPORTANT: Please make sure your device is compatible with this app. Compatible devices include: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G & 4G and iPad 1 & 2. A Wi-Fi connection and a Gameloft LIVE! account are required to play the game. **Order & Chaos Online is rolling out in the App Store as we speak, and you should be able to get it here as soon as it's out. The $6.99 price tag includes the three months offered for free and it is available for every iOS device as a Universal App.
