Gatsby's Golf Adds New Exciting Features And More
Gatsby's Golf ($0.99) by Inane Games is the simple miniature golf game we’ve all been waiting for. The controls couldn’t be more intuitive if they tried. Players will enjoy this title on any of their devices, though there isn’t an iPad specific version just yet. With 18 unique holes and different game modes to choose from, this game offers an excellent golfing experience regardless of the device.
The game is broken down into three main game modes, Classic, Quick Play, and Practice. Most players will enjoy playing through all 18 holes on Classic mode, though with the latest update, Quick Play allows players to randomly select six levels for there enjoyment.
Amongst the different levels, players will encounter anything from simple curves and turns, to elaborate contraptions that carry your ball across the map. The developers boast the game uses “Console-quality 3D graphics.” This is a bit of an overstatement, though they are impressive and smooth. Compared to other titles, they have done a fine job of polishing the graphics and mechanics of the game.
The controls are inputted in two simple steps. First aim your shot using the arrow on screen, second hold the circle on the right hand side and release. While holding the circle you will notice the bar on the left filling with blue. This indicates the amount of power you are putting into the shot. Be aware of this, over shooting or undershooting can have a huge effect in this game.
After playing through all the levels, this game is with out a doubt a fun time-killer. Though it doesn’t offer tons of features and customization, it is entertaining and can be enjoyed by anyone. For $.99 Gatsby’s Golf is a must have, be sure to find it in the app store.
