Go Insane With iStunt 2 - Insane Hills
iStunt 2 - Insane Hills (Free) by Miniclip.com is a universal snowboard game where users tilt their iDevice to navigate the character around the screen. There are 15 different levels, each teaching how to overcome a different obstacle. The simple controls make it easy for any user to learn.
The main focus is to keep the snowboarder on his board. To do this, users tilt their iDevice to keep the board level with the ground. Keeping the snowboarder on this board allows you to progress to the next level. If the snowboarder falls off, the level must be replayed from the nearest checkpoint (flag) completed. This sounds easy, but most levels require 2-3 tries before completion. The game’s physics are very good, the degree of tilt on the iDevice directly correlates to the tilt of the board in the game.
There are 10 stars in each level that are collected for points. Most of these stars are positioned in locations where they can be grabbed if the user uses the trick taught in that level. Performing tricks like flips, board grabs or rail slides, and landing well earn additional points. At the end of each level the points are totaled into your score. Scores are shared through GameCenter. Like the name suggests, the game is all about navigating through “insane hills.” Whereas most snowboarding is done on steep hills, this game takes steep to a whole new level. Many of the hills are a straight 90-degree drop, and others require the boarder to be upside down. Of course, the “insaneness” of the hills increases as you progress through the levels.
Overall, iStunt 2 – Insane Hills is a fun game for any iDevice. The controls are simple yet entertaining. The developers did a great job with this free app enticing users to upgrade to the paid iStunt 2 – Snowboard.
