InstaTodo: The Todo App To End All Todo Apps

April 20, 2011

InstaTodo - the only to-do with Templates ($4.99) by jProductivity, LLC is the perfect app for you if you find yourself constantly using your iPhone to keep yourself organized. I love keeping a digital calendar and digital todo lists - it's just nice to have it at your fingertips wherever you go, whenever you need it. InstaTodo takes digital organization to a new level. You may have already purchased different types of organizers/calendars for your iOS device, but here's what makes InstaTodo unique: it's the only to-do app with templates.

So, how do templates help? Let's say you have several children and you have a list of certain things you like to get done on or before each of their birthday parties. Somehow, though, one or two of those tasks slips your mind each time around and you are scrambling at the last minute to get those forgotten tasks done.

Well, with InstaTodo templates, you can create a special todo template just for birthday parties and then create a due date. That template stays in the app, so you can pull it up whenever you need it! Or, maybe you do a lot of traveling and there's always a few things you forget to do before you leave. InstaTodo templates can really come in handy (it already comes with a preset list for travel, but you can tweak it as you like).

I'll quickly list out some things I like about InstaTodo. The home page that keeps you up to date on what is due. You can associate locations with tasks - works with Navigon and MotionX. It comes with handy, pre-filled templates. Add your own templates or tweak what's already there. Covers just about anything and everything you need to take note of for upcoming tasks or meetings. Set priorities of each task. Integrate maps. The option to sync with your Toodledo account. View tasks by category, week, importance, location - you name it.

I'll admit, it does take a little time to navigate your way around at first, but there are plenty of resources on their main page (www.instatodo.com) to help with any questions you may have. Also, it's a little pricey at 4.99, but not unreasonable considering all the trouble it can save you by keeping you on task and organized.

Seems InstaTodo has thought about just about everything when it comes to getting yourself organized. If you're always forgetting important things on recurring tasks in your life, the templates feature could save you loads of trouble.
