MatchGame ($1.99) by MobilEaZe LLC takes a childhood classic to a whole new level. Challenge your memory and match as many pairs as you can before you run out of chances.

MatchGame is highly customizable and allows three different levels of difficulty: easy, medium and hard. Choose to listen to your own library of music, or the upbeat song the game comes with.

MatchGame stands out from other matching games because it offers the option to customize the photos used on the individual matching cards. There are preset photos you can use (animals, flags, landmarks) or you can load photos from your camera roll and even use Facebook friends' profile pics!

I was pretty excited to try the Facebook mode. I just had to sign in, give the game permission to access my list of friends' profile photos, then the photos loaded (just 60 were collected, but if you don't like the first batch, refresh for another one). This made the game even more enjoyable.

Game play is fun and definitely challenging. The number of "lives" you get depends on which level of difficulty you choose. Choose from one player, two player or you vs computer mode. Miss a match, you loose a lifeline, but make a match and you earn a lifeline back.

Once a pair is made, you will also see a fun fact about that pair (or the Facebook status of that friend). Even on easy mode, I found the game very challenging.

My daughter is a huge fan of Matching games (and can just about beat me at them) and though the concept is simple, it's a timeless game that can be thoroughly enjoyed in this iOS version. Whether you're three or ninety-three it can boost your brain power and promise a fun time.

A couple things I hope to see improve in future updates: 1) The style of the artwork. I believe the developers are going for a vintage theme (and, ask anyone in my family, I'm a push over for anything vintage), but somehow it doesn't quite please the eye. I'd like to see a more polished, futuristic look. 2) Some of the preset photos can look stretched and skewed on the cards.

I really love that MobilEaZe gets the fact that people love to customize settings in the games they play and has made this game as individual-friendly as it can be. MatchGame is definitely worth the download.
