Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus Gets Updated With A Map Pack IAP

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus Gets Updated With A Map Pack IAP

April 12, 2011
Modern Combat 2 was hailed as a great successor to Gameloft's first iOS entry, Modern Combat: Sandstorm. The Modern Combat titles are first person shooters set in modern conflicts and inspired by the Call of Duty series on consoles. The second entry has often been praised for the multiplayer and active community; and now with the latest update, fans have something new to cheer about. The new Modern Combat 2 1.1.2 update adds an optional in-app purchase of some new maps among a few other additions. The map pack will set you back $1.99 and give you three new maps called Shanty Town, The Bunker, and Battlefield. Some other new features in the 1.1.2 update listed by Gameloft are 10 free XP levels in multiplayer, bug fixes, and protection against hackers online. The update is available for both the standard version as well as the iPad HD version. Gameloft usually isn't too keen on updating its older games but this comes as a nice surprise. If you don't own them, both games currently cost $6.99 (HD version, standard).
