Quirky App Of The Day: Cougar Kit

I think that most people have the same perception when they see an older lady with a much younger guy: there has to be money involved in it somewhere. There's a name for women who have a relationship with younger men. They're called cougars. Sometimes it happens naturally. My sister-in-law is seven years older that my brother. They're disgustingly in love.
However, there's something ridiculous about designing an app to help women actively seek out younger men. That's what brings it to my desk.
The ridiculous nature of the app comes just from some of the title headers: where to find him, dealing with his parents, what's in it for you, and how to attract him, just to name a few. It screams superficiality. Now, those who come together through circumstance and just happen to find each other, Mazel tov! However, using an app to do research on how to score a younger guy isn't exactly what I would call “circumstance.” Online dating sites provide “circumstance.” Now, that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure of what exactly this app does other than give some tricks of the trade while insisting it isn't actually a “trade.”
Using this app, you can read up on these topics and follow the tips. It's designed to help women seek men out and cope with the age differences. It even has topics about ditching the “boy toy” stigma. I'd believe there was sincerity behind the idea, if the app wasn't named “Cougar Kit.”
