Check out a sneak peek of what the expansion for the space-exploration game, Galaxy on Fire 2 ($9.99), called Valkyrie is going to look in the newly released trailer. According to TouchArcade, the expansion will be released on April 28, 2011, and will be added as an in-app purchase. Gamers should expect new ships, weapons and equipment on top of a new storyline to play. Some of the expansion's content will also be available for free as an update for current Galaxy on Fire 2 owners.
Galaxy on Fire 2 is a pretty deep game with a lot to offer hardcore gamers, despite its premium price tag. It mixes space trading, space exploration, and dogfighting into a nice package. The game also offers some sandbox elements of freedom, and comes packed with a great presentation. Most games of this scope can only be found on the PC. If you are familiar with Freelancer, or the Wing Commander series, you should know what to expect.
The game is currently a Universal app so check it out whether you own an iPad or another iDevice. But first, check out the trailer for Valkyrie:
