#Sundayisfunday - Untethered iOS 4.3.1 Jailbreak Could Be Released Today

We've been waiting for a little while for an official untethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak solution, and we're hearing that today might just be the day this becomes a reality. According to several tweets from some folks in the know, the new tools that will allow you to have a fully jailbroken iOS device running on iOS 4.3.1 could be released today. Here is what we have: First, Musclenerd, one of the main jailbreakers extraordinaire tweeted earlier today:

Another high-profile member, Stefan Esser, aka iOn1c, who is known to have worked with Musclenerd and other jailbreakers stated the following:

I will neither verify nor deny that Sunday could be funday. Because I don't know what the dev-team will do. They don't give ETA. It is already sunday and I don't see #sundayisfunday in the trending topics. Maybe that would make the dev-team release.

Then Veeence, known to be connected closely to the iPhone Dev Team was much more straightforward:

So, Sunday == Funday. The untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 will be released today (GMT-8) in redsn0w and PT form, all devices except iPad2

Of course, if the Dev-Team really does have a solution for us and is currently testing it, there is no way to know if they'll really release it today. They might be waiting for future updates, or still have more testing to do. Also, note that because of the timezone differences, Sunday might be Monday already depending on where you live. Lastly, the new jailbreak is rumored to only work on all iPhone and iPod touch models as well as the first generation iPad. For now, the second generation iPad can't be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.1. Either way, we're keeping track of what's being said and done, and if they release anything today, you'll be the first ones to know.
