World Of Goo For iPhone Submitted For Approval, Early Adopters To Receive A Discount

2D Boy has revealed that the iPhone version of World of Goo was submitted to the App Store for approval over the weekend and should be available "soonish." The team also revealed some positive news for early World of Goo adopters.
When World of Goo for iPhone and iPod touch finally hits the App Store, you will be able to nab it for the discounted price of $.99 for the first 24 hours of availability. It's 2D Boy's way of saying thanks to the early adopters instead of punishing them. After those 24 hours are up, World of Goo for iPhone will jump back up to its regular price of $2.99.
Not every iPhone or iPod touch owner will be able to join in on the fun, however, as the game will require the more powerful hardware found in the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third-gen iPod touch, and fourth-gen iPod touch.
Early World of Goo for iPad adopters are also in for a treat since 2D Boy feels pretty bad about the original pricing structure. Instead of forcing you to go out and purchase another copy of World of Goo for your iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to download a free update to your existing copy, making it universally compatible.
