Get Briefed On Your News While You're Multitasking
Voice Brief - Lite (Free) by Dong Baik lets you listen to your schedule, stock prices, Facebook feed, Twitter feed, RSS feed and more. It's like having your own, personal radio station to play on the go when you don't have time to sit down and read.
As a busy mother of three, I find myself dashing to the computer to catch bits of important emails. While I do that, no doubt one of my children is getting into a cupboard or pulling dvds off the shelf. Voice Brief Lite is the free version of an app I have found incredibly brilliant for busy people like me.
So, what exactly does Voice Brief do? In short, it reads your personal news items to you. Granted, the lite version won't read as much to you as the full version, but it gives you a great sampling of what you will have if you decide to get the full version. Weather is not available in the lite version because there is a subscription license the developer has to pay for.
The voices are pleasant and work relatively smoothly. The voices are synthesized on your phone (rather than online) so when you're out and about it won't eat up your data plan like crazy.
There are four different voices to choose from and it works with bluetooth and airplay. Voice Brief Lite is also able to play in the background while you are multitasking apps. There is a lovely music bridge between subjects and you can even set the app to wake you up in the morning with your news feeds and information!
I appreciate that there is a "skip" option in case you want to jump around and skip through items you do not need to hear.
If you have been holding out on purchasing Voice Brief, here is your chance to try it for free. This version does limit the amount of items you can listen to, but still offers up all the great options the full version does (minus the weather forecast).
