AppAdvice has teamed up with Kairos Development Co, our latest AppAdvice Daily podcast sponsor, in order to offer you a chance to win one of five promo codes for Mathoku ($1.99) for iPad.
Mathoku is a puzzle game that's kind of like Sudoku but with a mathematical twist. In the game you are required to plug the numbers zero through nine into the open boxes to hopefully produce the correct total for each row and column by utilizing the mathematical operations between each one. Since there are nine boxes and a total of 10 numbers, one number will not be used in each game.
Tapping on a number on the right side of the screen will make it active, and tapping on an open box will place the number in it. You can remove a number from a box by simply tapping on it again. An unlimited number of hints are available in case you become stuck, or you can just give up and see the solution.
Mathoku features five difficulty levels, with the most difficult utilizing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division all at the same time. It also features randomly generated puzzles with over 2 million combinations per level, a timer, and utilizes mathematical rules of order of operations.
