Crates Night Shift, $.99 by Blitpop is the new iPhone and iPod touch version of their hit iPad game. It launched recently and Appadvice.com has teamed up with the developer to bring you a free copy.
Crates Night Shift, as I wrote a few weeks ago, is that elusive breed of puzzler that is easy to play, yet endlessly challenging and inventive. It has elements of Gamehouse’s classic Collapse, but its execution is fresh.
The game’s premise is that you work at a loading dock on the night shift. Your job is to sort crates and load them onto a ship poised to deliver them around the world. But, all that is really just a thematic backdrop.
The game board itself is comprised of multi-colored boxes. You need to have at least two of the same colored crates touching each other horizontally or vertically to remove it from the field.
When you do, the remaining pieces fall down and gaps are automatically closed. But that's just the beginning. The game has 140 levels of inventive challenges and is getting rave user reviews in the App Store.
Check out the trailer:
The only difference in the iPhone version is that it is optimized for the Retina display.
You can read the rest of the review here. We gave it a well-deserved 4.5 stars.
Like the previous giveaway, if you want to win a copy of the new iPhone version and get addicted too, just leave a comment telling me why an overnight shift at the docks is just what you need in your life.
As always, the entrant who make me laugh hardest will win the code.
Contest closes Sunday, May 22, at 6:00 p.m. EDT. Good Luck!
