Whether you are a student or someone who just wants a deeper understanding of the human body, this app will amaze you with all of its graphics and features. Anatomy 3D is more than just a resource, it is actually a teaching tool. There are videos, audio lectures, quizzes, models, diagrams and more.
Click on an organ such as the liver, and you are presented with an encyclopedia of information that includes pictures, diagrams, videos and audio clips. If you choose an audio clip, you will hear about the current organ and its functions. There is also a 3D option where you can view the organ in a rotating model from all sides. If you double tap on any of the pictures, you are able to zoom in for a closer look. There are also videos that show more detail on how an organ functions.
My favorite part, and the one I enjoy the most, is the fun trivia facts that show up on the bottom of the home page such as “More men are color-blind than women.” Or, “The left lung is smaller than the right lung to make room for the heart.” Each time you go back to the home page, a new little fact appears.
The developers have other anatomy apps out such as: Anatomy 3D: Muscles and Bones, Muscle Trigger Points and Skeletal Anatomy 3D Quiz and Reference. All of these compliment Anatomy 3D: Organs nicely.
