Home Sheep Home Brings New Life To The World Of Animal Games + Giveaway!
Home Sheep Home ($0.99) by Virtual Programming Ltd is a game that won a spot in my favorites category immediately, in fact, right after playing the first level. Home Sheep Home is a very cute, clever and fun game. If you enjoy playing animal games, solving problems and having a little fun at the same time, this is an app for you.
To play, move Shirley, Shaun and Timmy across the puzzle so they can return to their barn. These three sheep must work together to successfully make it through the obstacles they face. All three sheep have different skills and abilities. Your job is to figure out who can do what to help one another on each level.
The graphics and sounds are wonderful. Home Sheep Home utilizes beautiful artwork with subtle movements, and the sheep sounds are sure to elicit a smile! Each of the sheep has its own voice, and it's unique to their character. The background music is also clever and appropriate for the game.
Home Sheep Home has been available as an online game and the iDevice version is very similar. I actually enjoy playing it on my iPhone and iPad more than on my computer because the controls are much easier to use.
If you like Angry Birds, you should enjoy Home Sheep Home. There is some real strategy involved in moving the sheep to their barn. This game is appropriate for all ages, especially because it does not involve killing or harming other animals. When your sheep does not make it, the game says, “You lost a sheep.” This is a little gentler than some of the other games, such as Angry Birds.
One drawback to Home Sheep Home is the number of levels. I made it through all 15 levels rather quickly and was left wanting more. There is not much replay value in the game. Once you have figured out the solution, you lose the enjoyment of the initial challenge. Many comments in the App Store also reflect the limited number of levels, so hopefully the developer will add more or come out with another similar game.
Home Sheep Home is a very enjoyable game. Don’t let the limited number of levels keep you from buying it. The $.99 is worth the entertainment you will have playing those 15 different puzzles.
