iOS Apps Gone Free: LaDiDa, Scotty, inReverse Party Game, And More

May 20, 2011

Show off your beautiful singing voice, transfer photos and videos wirelessly to your Mac, and do some more singing, only in reverse, with today's AGF list.

All app prices are subject to change at any time and without notice regardless of stated free duration. Price changes are solely under the control of the developers.

iPhone:

LaDiDa ($2.99 -> Free, 14 MB): A reverse karaoke app that allows you to create your own songs. Just choose a style and tempo, and then start singing or rapping into your iDevice's mic. LaDiDa will analyze your voice and compose music to match. The app features 12 styles, the ability to record video, the ability to listen to other LaDiDa users from around the world, and a variety of sharing methods.

LaDiDa is available for free today only (05/20). It has a 4-star rating with a total of 19 ratings.

Scotty ($1.99 -> Free, 1.4 MB): Transfer photos and videos from your iDevice to your Mac over Wi-Fi with this handy little app. It doesn't require any additional software, just make sure you have File Sharing enabled on your Mac and you're good to go. Photos and videos are transferred at full resolution along with their metadata.

Scotty is available for free today only (05/20). It has a 3-star rating with a total of 106 ratings.

Ah Up ($.99 -> Free, 3.8 MB): This isn't your everyday distance game. In Ah Up, your rocket is solely powered by your voice, so grab a glass of water and warm up your vocal chords. You'll also have to avoid birds during your ascent, which is accomplished by simply tilting your device. The game features Game Center integration as well.

Ah Up is available for free for a limited time. It has a 5-star rating with a total of 7 ratings. Universal:

Musix ($.99 -> Free, 3 MB): A fully-customizable isomorphic keyboard that’s designed to be used not only by experienced musicians in search of new melodies and musical relationships but also by amateurs who are just learning how to play major and minor chords. It features seven built-in key layouts, the ability to create your own layout, seven key sizes, six instruments, and Midi/OSC support.

Musix is available for free today only (05/20). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 10 ratings.

inReverse Party Game ($.99 -> Free, 5 MB): This unique party game requires at least two players. The first player records a fragment of a song while the other player is off in another room not listening. When the first player is finished recording, the second player must listen to the a cappella in reverse and try to guess the song. If the second player can't guess the song, they must try to repeat it in reverse by recording it piece by piece. The second player can then replay their reversed version, which will hopefully sound like the original song. Got it? Good. Now just give it a try!

inReverse Party Game is available for free today only (05/20). It has a 4.5-star rating with a total of 3 ratings. Developers: If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
  • It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.

  • The free version of your app must not include ads.
