NBC Nightly News Launches iPad App

This week, NBC has launched an iPad app for their Nightly News. This free app is in addition to their previous iPhone version that primarily focused on news headlines. The new NBC Nightly News app really utilizes the iPad’s capabilities and screen resolution.
NBC Nightly News allows you to watch portions or video segments from their newscast, or you can watch the entire broadcast. There are also videos that are exclusive to the app. There is access to the week in pictures, and Brian Williams’ blog, which opens in an integrated browser.
The app is easy to navigate with the top headlines and dates located on the left side of the screen. Other headlines from specific dates are displayed horizontally near the bottom of the screen. There are also individual topics to choose from as well as the current top stories. You also have the ability to post comments and videos to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
NBC News devotees will enjoy having all their favorite features right at their fingertips. The NBC Nightly News App is the kind of step that news organizations must take in order to stay competitive, as they look for innovative ways to present information.
