PBS KIDS Video For iPad Does Not Disappoint
PBS KIDS Video for iPad (Free) by PBS KIDS is going to make a lot of kids happy. They will now be able to watch more than 1,000 videos from all their favorite PBS shows.
My kids were more than a little bit happy this morning when I downloaded the free app. We cannot afford satellite tv and PBS kid's shows are just about the only kid's programming we get. They opened it right away and found it very easy to figure out.
The interface is smooth and needs no explanation. Little ones who can't read yet will not have a problem figuring it out.
Many of the videos are carefully-cut clips lasting around 2 - 5 minutes. Some of the videos are full episodes.
The selection of shows is great. They haven't left any out (at least that I could see) and my kids were more than happy with the selection.
The video quality is good. Not great, but good. The streaming speed is excellent. After just a few seconds of buffering, it's ready to go.
If your iPad is ever in the hands of children, or you find yourself occasionally needing to keep some little ones entertained, this is a must-have app. And, what makes it even better is, it's packed with educational content!
