Put Your Brain To The Test With Memneon
Memneon ($0.99) by Alchemista is a new twist on a classic memory game. Fight against the clock and challenge your brain as you try to remember the exact order of seven dots. Sounds simple enough, but players only have seven seconds to remember exactly where the dots are. Immediately after, players have another seven seconds to re-input them. There are three game modes to choose from and up to 49 theoretical levels.
The first game mode is classified as level one, even though each game mode has several levels within it. While playing “circuit trainer” the easiest of the three modes, players will notice that the seven dots remain solid and all visible. In the second game mode they will all flash randomly. Finally in the third game mode you will only see one at a time, and must re-input them in the correct order that they were shown.
After quick instructions on how to play users can jump right into the game. The controls are as simple as touching; there isn’t really anything else to it. As I started to get the hang of the game and progress through, I began noticing the same patterns reappear. At first I thought, “Great! An easy level” but I shortly became disappointed with the lack of variety.
A game like this should be able to generate random new levels with out any problems. Instead you’ll find yourself replaying the same thing quite a few times.
The difficulty of this game might come as surprise for a few players. There are a few strategies for remembering patterns quickly. For example, don’t spend a lot of time trying to remember or recall patterns, simply spit them back out as fast as possible. After a couple of rounds I’m sure you’ll discover your own techniques.
Overall Memneon is a great memory game for players of all ages. Be sure to put your brain to the challenge and check this one out in the App Store.
