QuickAdvice: Mood Camera Is Psychedelic Photo Fun - Plus, Win a Promo Code!
Mood Camera ($0.99) by Two Teeth Technologies is a fun little photo app from the developer of QuickPix. Take colorful, psychedelic photos with your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
You can just open up the app and start shooting. You’ll notice five buttons across the top; each one is really a toggle to activate different effects. Tap each one or off. You can turn on just one or up to all five. Mix and match for different looks, each one more colorful than the next.
This is a very particular kind of app, a niche app if you will. It’s not going to be for everyone. If you like apps such as Decim8 and PhotoTropedelic, and artists like Andy Warhol, this will be right up your alley. This isn’t the sort of app you use to capture what real life looks like -- this is for people who like to experiment. You can create some cool wallpapers for your iDevices or simply share your creations with friends.
Mood Camera actually takes two photos at once and saves them both automatically to your camera roll -- a straight photo and an altered one, so you can see your “before” and “after” side by side. If you have an app like Diptic, you can use these two apps in concert to create fun Warhol-esque quads, like I have done with the shots of my computer’s keyboard in this article’s main photo.
