Quirky App Of The Day: Anti Mosquito Lamp

There are a few things that I don't want near my phone. Things like liquid, vomit, and bugs. I'm probably not alone in this. I would think that many people would like bugs to stay far, far away from their phone. Especially if their phone is expensive enough that they can put apps on it.
However, Anti Mosquito App is meant to attract mosquitos to your phone. Using a bright light and a high pitched sound emission, mosquitos are suppose to go to your phone and leave you alone. It's like a bug zapper for your phone, but without the satisfying crackle and sizzle that happens once some bug gets drunk with courage.
I get the science behind it, but if even bug repellant won't work sometimes, I'm doubting that the app will do too much more. I also just get the creepy crawlies going down my spine at the thought of putting something near my ear that once had bugs all over it.
The app use is basic. Simply turn it on and set the frequency. Luckily, it's free, so there's no harm in giving it a good try. I just happen to be one of those entirely boring people who won't walk out into a marsh without any bug repellent for the sake of a thorough app test. Should anyone decide to take matters into their own hands, I will gladly accept their personal expertise in the matter. Should they come back and tell me that it was amazing and remarkable to step out into the clouds of mosquitos, only to have them part like the Red Sea, I will personally release a recount.
