Quirky App Of The Day: Brotips

I'm not a guy. There are a lot of things I don't understand. I previously expressed my inability to truly empathize with having to urinate standing up, let alone truly understand a game about it. I could care less about sports and watching guys bash into each other or chase an inflated ball around. It's just not my style. I think belching not only sounds gross, but I can't understand where the pride in natural body emissions comes from.
All those hiccups and gaps in my understanding aside, I'm a huge fan of the gender. The great things guys do as a whole can really outweigh the stupid things some individuals can do. I think that many are just trying to be decent men who love the important people in their life. It's not fair how much of a bad reputation TV can give them. So, when there's an app that highlights the ethics of how to treat each other made for guys by guys, it gives me warm butterflies in my stomach. I'm reminded that the chauvinists on TV and in magazines aren't as prevalent as the good men out there that would bend over backwards to help anyone who said they needed it.
These brotips are actually for everyone. We women can be downright nasty to each other. Even the ones we're "friends" with. We could all remember that it's better to be honest, be upfront, and be yourself. It's worth reading through the 500+ brotips and be reminded of what it means to be decent to each other. They're inspiring and uplifting. There are tips for anything from math to dating advice. In fact, "Brohandas Gandhi" is quoted. Naps are declared to be legit, not that anyone could really doubt that, and sound advice to beware tattooing someone's name on you is doled out. Some advice you might agree with, and some you might not. I, for one, will not mention whether a woman is pregnant or not no matter how obvious it might seem. Unless she is pushing, it's best to just stay away from that topic. In fact, it was the great male comedian Dave Barry who gave that advice.
