Quirky App Of The Day: Fart Jump

May 29, 2011
I feel sullied somehow. Like there's the elite way to tell jokes, and then there's fart jokes. Yet, here we are. I couldn't pass up the beautiful quirkiness of this app sitting before me in iTunes. It was as if it were being presented to me. It was fate and destiny. That, and the hilarity that I regard this app with is probably riding on the coattails of a long day spent sitting for long car rides, and a late night app review. All these things mixed with a temporary chocolate high makes for interesting interpretations of what's funny and what isn't. Fart Jump is the head of Jeff Tremaine bouncing up on clouds and earning points. Now, whenever his head touches a cloud, it, well, farts. There are a variety of sounds that would make a frat house proud. The sad thing is how giggly it made me. I know I have a warped sense of humor. I thought I might be beyond laughing at fart jokes. I'm not apparently. Now, who is Jeff Tremaine? At first, I thought that I must be hiding under a rock, and I would be embarrassed by admitting that I had no idea about who he is. However, after sulking away to Wikipedia for a quick browse of just who this head belongs to, I discovered that he directed Jackass. After living with a brother who broke about every bone in his body by the time he was eleven, I don't find those shows amusing. I lived around the real thing. I tried to dig up some dirt on exactly why someone at Dickhouse productions thought it was necessary to have his head flatulently upwards through the heavens, but I couldn't find any. I leave that secret with the devs at the moment. For now, I'm concerned about air pollution, noise pollution, and I'll throw in green house gases for good measure. So much flatus in the air can't be good for our environment.   Fart Jump is available at iTunes for the awesome price of FREE!
