It is exciting to discover such a unique game. Other than this game being a sequel to the first Supermarket Mania, I do not believe there is anything else similar on the App Store. You do not need to own the previous version of Supermarket Mania in order to understand the new version.
To play Supermarket Mania 2 HD, you will first be guided through the background story of the game. This story is presented in a comic strip and makes the game a little more personal as you learn about the individual characters. Once you enter the supermarket, you will help Nikki perform tasks like: stocking shelves, cleaning the floors, helping the delivery guy, running the cash register, baking croissants, moving shopping baskets and fighting off shoplifters. Each level adds a new dimension, which makes the game more and more challenging.
In Supermarket Mania 2 HD, your mission is to try to keep your customers happy by fulfilling all of their needs and completing the required tasks. There is a villain incorporated in the story, Mr. Torg, who is out to make life difficult hard for you. Watch out for him so you do not fall for his dirty tricks!
There are achievements to unlock and upgrades to purchase with your earned points. These will all help you work more efficiently and keep your customers happy. There are 80 levels and 34 unique products to sell.
Overall, I found this game a great deal of fun. There is a lot to remember at times, when you have a store full of people and requests for milkshakes and fresh baked croissants at the same time. It does require you to think quickly on your feet.
Supermarket Mania 2 HD is fun for all ages and the replay value is high as you try to beat your previous score. There are both iPhone and iPad versions of the game available. Currently, they are both initially free in the app store and you unlock the full version from within the app. If you like a fast-paced game that does not require shooting, killing or fighting, Supermarket Mania 2 HD is a great option.
