New iPad App Gives Us A Case Of Deja (Vu)
May 23, 2011
Israeli-based Deja unveiled its new iPad app today at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference. The free app allows users to share videos. Deja, which should hit the App Store soon, is similar to Plizy, which debuted just a few days ago.
Backed by $200,000 in funding, Deja offers content from a nice selection of different sources including YouTube, Google video, as well as RSS streams and links from those on Twitter.
Each video, viewable in both horizontal and vertical view, also includes links to additional content and full Airplay support. You can also share videos via Facebook or Twitter.
Called the “Flipboard for video” by TechCrunch, Deja looks very similar to Plizy, which debuted just a few days ago.
However, unlike Plizy, which requires a special invitation to join, Deja should arrive with no such limitation.
Once we get our hands of the Deja app, we will let you know what we think.
